ORCHARD BEACH - Three men attacked a community association president Sunday after he asked them to leave a beach in Orchard Beach for acting disorderly, county police said.
Douglas Wade Ashton, 53, was on the beach near Main Street and Beach Promenade at about 9:20 p.m. when he saw a large group of people causing a disturbance. When Mr. Ashton, who is the community's association president, asked the group to leave, they became outraged, he told police.
