FCC vote could slow your downloadsPublished 07/31/08
A Federal Communications Commission decision may make some Comcast Internet subscribers late for their World of Warcraft session when next year rolls around. And downloading your favorite movie may take a little longer, too. Comcast customers who use online-gaming, as well as peer-to-peer file-sharing services, or download high-definition movies online may have to wait a few extra minutes before they are able to proceed with their high-traffic habits on broadband Internet. In an official vote expected to take place tomorrow, the FCC said it will mandate the company reforms some of its network-managing ways by next year....
