Analysis of sales data shows single-digit price declines in most areas

If you're trying to sell a home in Anne Arundel County, here's a little confidence boost:

BOTTOM: This five-bedroom Colonial in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Annapolis has been for sale for more than three months. Owner Dennis Deitch said he plans to lower the price from $869,000 to $849,000 next month.
Home sale prices in almost every corner of the county - from Annapolis and Arnold to Shady Side and Severn - only have fallen in single-digit increments so far this year when compared with 2007, according to an analysis by The Capital.
For example, the year-to-date average median sale price for homes in the 21401 ZIP code of Annapolis stood at $393,635. That's a 5.9-percent drop from a year ago.
