Community Foundation honors developer for his philanthropy

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County will award charitable donor Edward St. John with its Philanthropist of the Year award next month.

The organization holds its annual Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon on Nov. 14, during which its members will present different awards to four giving individuals in the county.

Mr. St. John, founder and CEO of St. John Properties Inc., has contributed to 19 nonprofit and educational organizations in Anne Arundel County over the past few years, according to the group. His recent act of generosity, a $5 million donation to Severn School for a new athletic center, is how his name...
