Man hit by car in south county WAYSONS CORNER - A 40-year-old man was seriously injured yesterday when he was hit by a car in the southwest corner of the county, fire department officials said. Details about the wreck were unavailable. Police at the southern district police station refused to answer questions last night. Lt. Frank Fennell, a county Fire Department spokesman, said the man was injured near the intersection of Route 408 and Route 4.
