Like thousands of other families, Sgt. David Battle and his family have given up a lot since he joined the Army in 2004.

Sgt. David Battle, who lost three limbs to a mine in Iraq in December, rolls out of his family's new van yesterday after it was presented to him by Wheels For Warriors. His wife Lakeisha keeps an watchful eye on him while holding their son, Ahmarion, 2. Their lives were changed forever last December when Sgt. Battle, on his second tour of duty in Iraq with a tank unit, stepped on a mine. He lost both legs and an arm, but he didn't lose hope. Within days he was at Walter Reed Army Hospital where he has since been working hard on his recovery. Even after mastering his powered wheelchair, which he operates with a joystick, mobility has been an issue. Until yesterday. At a non-descript warehouse in an industrial park in Beltsville, Sgt....
