Linda Crayle didn't feel safe driving her Chevrolet Lumina in Edgewater yesterday.

Police and emergency medical personnel work Monday night at the intersection of Pike Ridge Road and Solomons Island Road in Edgewater after an accident. Edward Crayle was driving the 1990 Chevrolet Lumina, left, when it was struck on the driver's side by the 2002 Dodge pickup, right. Mr. Crayle was pronounced dead at the scene.The steering wheel was locking up, so she stopped the car and called her husband, Edward Crayle, to pick her up. At just before 6:45 p.m., the couple met and swapped vehicles. Mr. Crayle, 59, planned to drive his wife's Chevrolet to a nearby 7-Eleven store to park overnight. He told her to meet him in the parking lot. But Mr. Crayle never made it to the convenience store. County police said Mr. Crayle of 5561 Franklin Boulevard in Churchton was driving the 1990 Chevrolet on Old Pike Road toward Route 2, when he went through a...

Sorry to hear of ED's passing. I graduated with him from Bladensburg HS in 1967. He was indeed a fine fellow.
