public housing - December 1, 2008
It exists because there are (and always will be) less fortunate people no matter where you may choose to live. Not all the residents in these areas are criminals. They are victims of this insane violence too. It's easy to say shut these areas down when you're not the one depending on low-income housing for basic survival. I hate the fact that these areas are breeding grounds for criminal activity...I bet not as much as the law-abiding residents who live there do.

public housing - November 29, 2008
why can't this city do something for once about public housing. obviously this will always be a problem, i think its time to shut them down, kick them out, tear them down, build a nice community where hard working middle class families can finally put their income to good use and live in annapolis and not be scared for their lives and their kids lives. i am so sick that i have to start saving money now, with a 3 month old child to send him to a private school. these communities make me sick, it is a breeding ground for the lazy and the erosion of this beautiful city that is being ruined by thugs.

Whoa there! - November 28, 2008
Don't go lockin' down the hood, then all the criminals will start hanging our in our neighborhoods. The solution is to make the consequence of their bad behavior so unbearable, that it ceases to be an option for them. As for this unfortunate chap, I'm sure he was just mindin' his own business when someone came up and shot him 8 or 9 times for no good reason...... or not.

oh well - November 28, 2008
heres an idea, start keeping these high crime areas locked down and treating it like a quarentine. i mean whenever the police due try to apprehend someone theres always those critics saying, well they should'nt of chased them and they should of let the armed gunmen go. i mean you cant have your cake and eat it to these communities do it to themselves, The only way to make this better is let the cops do there job and dont question when they chase an armed gunmen, or carjacer. if you dont agree with that well then its just going to get worse and worse
