A two-alarm fire ripped through a Davidsonville home yesterday afternoon, causing at least $200,000 worth of damage.

Firefighters work to calm a douse on Malvern Hill Drive in Davidsonville. The fire caused more than $200,000 in damages, according to fire officials.Firefighters were called to 932 Malvern Hill Drive at 4:07 p.m. for the report of a dwelling fire. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the two-story, single-family home, said Division Chief Michael Cox, a county Fire Department spokesman. It's the latest of four fires that recently occurred in the area. This week, other fires damaged structures in Annapolis, Odenton and Maryland City.
