A trio of two-alarm fires in less than 24 hours kept county firefighters busy yesterday afternoon and this morning.

County firefighters this morning battle a two-alarm blaze in the Harness Creek community on the Annapolis Neck Peninsula. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation. The fire was the third two-alarm blaze in the county in less than 24 hours. The fires left four adults without homes. But firefighters were able to save an 80-year-old farmhouse and several barns threatened by one of the blazes, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia, a county Fire Department spokesman. The latest blaze began at 7 a.m. today in the Harness Creek community on the Annapolis Neck Peninsula. Firefighters were called to the 3100 block of Raven Court, where they found a single-family home with heavy flames showing from the front right-hand corner, Tobia said. Crews...
