State Sen. Janet Greenip confirmed yesterday that she plans to resign to spend more time with her family, inciting a flurry of activity among Republicans wanting to take over her seat for the one year left in her term. Find Us On Facebook

I certainly hope her replacement is a friend of the Chesapeake. Sen. Greenip has voted against virtually every meaningful environmental proposal.
