Shilling Part 2... - 2009-04-30 20:42:41

Ever notice in the "New Case of Swine Flu Detected" headlined story, buried in the middle is how the person has already recovered... maybe next week the headline will read "Japanese Bomb Pearl Harbor" and by the end they'll reveal we won the war...

The reason they pump this crap up is that good news never sold a paper or made someone want to watch the news...all the media is doing is hyping this up for advertising bucks. Wait a few weeks, this will go on the shelf with Y2K hype...

Over-reacting - 2009-04-30 19:58:49

People are over-reacting, to a point. What people are failing to do is look at the facts. The Swine Flu comes around EVERY year, just like other strains of flu. People die from the Swine Flu EVERY year, just like other strains of flu. The reporting of this is more prevelant than ever before due to numerous reasons: increased media, the economy and the health insurance issue, the illegal alien issue, etc. etc. etc. Yes, more people in Mexico may be dying than ever before but honestly, the health care system down there is entirely different than in this country or in Europe. They don't get flu shots every year like the majority of people here do. I urge everyone to go to the CDC website and get the true and accurate facts regarding flu strains and to stop feeding into the panic.
