Both are set to graduate June 3 from South River Evening High School. Tykyra Evans had given up on school. She dropped out of Annapolis High, but about a year later, a school worker knocked on her door and talked her into coming back to evening high school. Now, at age 21, Evans is finally graduating. "It feels like I completed a goal in my life," she said. "The world is getting harder. You need a diploma." Many of the evening high school students graduating this year fought an uphill battle to earn their cap and gown, making the moment they walk across the stage that much sweeter.
