Police said Rebecca Crocker, 56, of Chesapeake Beach, was driving her 1999 Toyota Camry on Route 2 north approaching Polling House Road when, for unknown reasons, she drifted over the double yellow line and into the southbound lane.

I spoke to Mr.Lafferty's employer this afernoon and found he was released from the hospital today. It's my understanding that Rebecca Crocker was not as lucky. She's not going home. I saw this accident and it was one of the worstI've seen.when is the state going to lower the speed limit on this road. If they post it at 40 mph. maybe they will slow down to 50 mph.The Harwood has tried for some time to get it lowered and the state says the same thing evertime the average speed is 45 mph. Now that's a joke.If they would start setting radar on this road they could lower the state det.

I just sent a letter to my congressman complaining about the noisy rumble strips on Rt. 2 that unfailingly wake me every night since their installation. People need to get their heads out of their you-know-whats and drive! I'm sick and tired of seeing people veer into my lane and upon a closer look I see that they're preoccupied with something down in their lap. I can't wait until cell phone use while driving is made illegal. It will be because we have so many idiots on the road nowadays. The other day I saw a motorcyclist texting while driving up route 258! Future organ donor.
