Economy forces owner to shutter Barlow's after 25 years

Where there usually is the thud of feet against a spring-loaded floor or the grunts of athletes echoing from the balance beams and parallel bars, the only sounds were those of a radio and owner Jeffrey Barlow's broom sweeping around piles of mats.
After 25 years of business, Barlow said he's saddened and nostalgic about closing up shop. He calls his business "another casualty of the economy."
His 20-member paid staff will now scatter to schools and training centers throughout the area - if they can find a gym that's...
