The Annapolis Tax Cap Charter Amendment would limit annual tax increases for residential and commercial properties to 4.5 percent or the rate of inflation - whichever is the lowest.
If passed, the tax cap would be similar to the cap that has been in place in Anne Arundel County for almost two decades.

If he'd been elected eight years ago, the city wouldn't be in the financial and mismanagement mess it is now. 126% increase in taxes over eight years, and still not enough to cover all the wasteful departments, programs, grants and goofs of the administration. Too bad Moyer fought off the Homestead proposal. Now the taxpayers will take the initiative themselves. You go, Herb. Wish you were running for mayor instead of delegate.
