Thanks to an impressive career as both a lacrosse player and coach, Annapolis resident Rennie Smith will be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 2.
Paul W. Gillespie - The CapitalLacrosse player and coach, Annapolis resident Rennie Smith will be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 2. Smith enjoyed an illustrious career as a lacrosse player for the Terrapins from 1952-1955, earning a host of accolades. He later went on to help lead the Maryland lacrosse team to three national championships during his 16-year tenure as assistant coach. Smith's career includes an impressive list of accomplishments.
