Thanks to an impressive career as both a lacrosse player and coach, Annapolis resident Rennie Smith will be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 2.

Lacrosse player and coach, Annapolis resident Rennie Smith will be inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 2.
Smith enjoyed an illustrious career as a lacrosse player for the Terrapins from 1952-1955, earning a host of accolades. He later went on to help lead the Maryland lacrosse team to three national championships during his 16-year tenure as assistant coach.
Smith's career includes an impressive list of accomplishments.
