Myers - a former gang member who has covered up some of his gang tattoos - faces up to 30 years in prison for the crime, which prosecutors said was a misdirected attempt to avenge the May 30 slaying of 14-year-old Christopher Jones. He also must pay more than $33,000 in restitution as part of a plea agreement with the state.
