Anne Arundel's 2009 hall of fame class celebrates formative ties

Lacrosse standout Mike Burnett sounded the theme for the night when he opened his acceptance speech by stating, "For me, it comes down to family and friends."

Burnett had plenty of both in attendance at last night's 19th annual Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame induction banquet. The youngest of seven children, the Severna Park native looked out at two tables filled with brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces and said "there's a lot of love right there."
