Police kill wanted man after chasePublished 11/05/09
A man shot and killed by state police yesterday, after leading troopers on a 25-mile pursuit in the wrong direction on Queen Anne's County highways, tried to kill himself in Riva in September. Christopher D. Hale, 37, of 12049 Line Road in Delmar, Del., attempted to commit suicide by jumping in front of moving cars and attempting to leap off a bridge while handcuffed by county officers, according to court records. Hale was shot by three state police troopers and a Maryland Transportation Authority Police officer about 6 a.m. yesterday after police said he pointed a gun at a trooper involved in the chase. Print the rest of the story. How and why was he released on Sept. 24th, or didn't any of this guys actions seem abnormal? Why waste time arresting people if you're just gonna let them go? Fortunately, he didn't kill anyone, but he was close.
