School workers get cash 'present'Published 11/25/09
Public school employees will be repaid for one of their scheduled furlough days in a lump sum at the end of December, county school officials have decided. But they will still get to take their remaining furlough days off from work, meaning all will effectively net one paid day off from work by the end of the fiscal year.
