Looking at the next great threat to the nation, Naval Academy officials told the institution's oversight board yesterday that they plan to make cybersecurity a required field of study for all midshipmen. Find Us On Facebook
Academy Superintendent Vice Adm. Jeffrey Fowler told the Board of Visitors that cyberspace will be the next battleground. Fowler said he normally uses the board's quarterly meetings to celebrate the academy's accomplishments, but that this change in the academy's curriculum is so important it needed to be discussed now.
