Nonprofit groups needed to help cope with rising poverty

More children are eating free or reduced-price meals at county schools, more families are using food stamps or applying for energy assistance, and more county residents are homeless in recent months than before the recession began.
But ending poverty begins with myriad other issues, said Brian Angus, CEO of the Anne Arundel Community Action Partnership.
"There's a lot of interconnected issues," he said. "You can't just work on poverty. You have to deal with the individual issues."

But, lets face reality. I dont see the end in sight. Samsclub just layed off 11K workers and closed 10 stores. The Federal Money for Home Mortgage lenders is drying up and will not be established. Unemployment is on the rise.
