The three-story building known as Ogle Hall dominates the southwest corner of King George Street and College Avenue. The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association purchased the property in 1944, renovated it, and in 1945 opened it as a second home to all who attended the academy and their families.
Construction began in 1739 on Ogle Hall, at King George Street and College Avenue in Annpolis, home of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association since 1945.
"There is much life in this building. The old and new come together here," said Byron E. Marchant, president of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and a 1978 academy graduate. "The alumni association has constant renewal with the influx of a new group of first class midshipmen every year. Their parents come to visit, as do the parents of new midshipmen."
