Talk about tying the knot. Two county firefighters who began dating at last year's annual tug of war competition got engaged in front of throngs of spectators yesterday. 
Paul W. Gillespie — The CapitalAustin Andrea, front, leads the impromptu Downtown Barhoppers team due to the fact that the real team didn’t show up. The replacements defeated the Fourth Street Bars team from Eastport in the 14th annual “Slaughter Across the Water” tug of war yesterday.  The 14th Annual Maritime Republic of Eastports Tug of War vs. Annapolis and the World was held Saturday. (Paul W Gillespie - The Capital) 11/5/11
