George “Wes” Wesley Childs, 84, a 4-year resident of Collington Life Center in Mitchellville and previously a 4-year resident of Crofton and a 50-year resident of Bayside, N.Y., died of natural causes Nov. 9 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Childs was born June 1, 1924, in Overland, Mo., to the late George Delbert and Mary Elizabeth Clinkingbeard Childs. He was one of nine children. He attended St. Charles public schools. He later attended the New York Beauty Academy and graduated in 1948.
