Penny Ruth Allen-Sheldrake, 49, a resident of Deale for 15 years, died Nov. 15, in her home after a three-year, nine-month battle with cancer.
Mrs. Allen-Sheldrake was born Jan. 14, 1959, in Washington D.C., to the late Cecil Allen and Evelyn Mary Bozeman. She graduated from Suitland High School in 1976.
She served as a paramedic for the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department for 13 years and was an active member of the Prince George’s County Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedic Association, Local 1619, I.A.F.F.
