George H. Weissberg, 80, of Annapolis, died of cancer Nov. 16 at his home after a short illness. Mr. Weissberg was born April 15, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Charles and Elizabeth Finger Weissberg. He received his B.S. in Biology and Ph.D. in Oceanography from Texas A&M University. He retired from Westinghouse in 1994 as an environmental remediation scientist. Previous to that, he was a consultant for major projects worldwide. Some of his environmental study projects, with emphasis on energy, land, and water resource development, were conducted in the Sinai Peninsula, the Amazon Jungle, the Rocky Mountains, and the strategic petroleum reserve...
