A make-up date has not yet been scheduled, but Spalding coach Moira Leavitt hinted that the teams would look for an open Saturday in April.

Spalding (6-0) and Severna Park (3-0) are two of the state's top teams, and the private school-public school match-up is one...

Northeast's Heather Brown struck out 13 and no-hit Calvert in a 13-0 win; Arundel's Kayla Martinez no-hit Towson Catholic in a 6-0 season-opening victory; and Seton Keough's Megan Hyson no-hit two-time defending Class 4A state champion Chesapeake in a 2-0 stunner in Pasadena.

With their 47-43 victory over Arundel in the state semifinals, the Raiders are in shape to win their 5th straight state title.

Arundel finishes the season at 22-5.

The wheels have come off for Arundel, as Sheronne Vails and Simone Egwu each picked up their 4th fouls in the third quarter, and the Raiders took full advantage.

They've pressed the Wildcats into numerous unforced errors, and they outscored the Wildcats 17-4 in the third quarter.

After Arundel was up by 16 and seemingly had the game in control, do they Lady 'Cats have a comeback in them?

So far, the Wildcats are making good on their vow. After the first quarter, the Wildcats lead, 13-2. They've held the Raiders without a field goal, and Ebonee Jones leads all scorers with six points - on two 3-pointers.

Old Mill, which won a team championship in 2007, has led in all but one round of the tournament. Willie Pumphrey (125) and Sillaman finished fourth, and Ron Vaughters (135) and Aaron Hawkins (285) are wrestling for titles.
