Man falls into boat

A man in Deale was flown by Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to Prince George's Trauma Center late yesterday after falling face-first into a boat, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Medics received the call at about 6:15 p.m., fire department Lt. Frank Fennell said.

Brush fire

Eight to 10 acres of brush caught fire Thursday night in Lothian, county fire officials said.

Firefighters found the large fire when they were called to the 4400 block of Sands Road at 8:22 p.m. It took 32 firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control, officials said.
