<description><![CDATA[About 1,230 freshman, or plebes, reported to the Naval Academy yesterday  to start their military careers. 
Going through in-processing took about 2 1/2 hours, and included physical exams, haircuts, being issued uniforms and learning to salute.<p>&#39;Sir, yes, sir!&#39; they quickly learned to shout out in response to any and every question, comment or bit of instruction.
