'Meet Me in St. Louis'
Tantallon Community Players
will present "Meet Me in St. Louis"
May 23 through June 8 at Harmony Hall Regional Center, 10701 Livingston Road, Fort Washington. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays, June 1 and 8, at 2 p.m.
Producer and costume designer Jo Rake
of Bowie is also in the cast.

Heritage Day
City of Bowie museums will celebrate Bowie's 40th annual Heritage Day
Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Belair Stable Museum

Free pony rides, a take home craft for kids and lots of "horse history" will be featured and "Kidsinger Jim" Hossick will entertain with songs and stories. Explore Belair's outstanding Triple Crown legacy - Belair Thoroughbreds Gallant Fox (1930) and his son, Omaha (1935) remain the only father/son Triple Crown Winners in history. The 1923 stablemaster's apartment offers a glimpse of life on the farm in days gone by. Try your hand at churning butter in a 1920s "Dazey" churn.

Mayhem, mystery & tea
Friends of Belair Estate
invite you to help solve a mystery and enjoy tea Sunday, June 1, at 3 p.m. at Belair Mansion. Join the Tea Time Players in uncovering "Who Killed the Darling Duke of Darjeeling."

Exhibits
The City Hall Art Gallery
features photographs by Lorraine Warner
through May. During the school year, the Young Person's Art Gallery
at City Hall showcases the artwork of students attending schools located in Bowie, featuring a different school each month. The Arts Committee Poster Contest winners are shown in July. In August, the artwork of individual young artists who reside in a Bowie community, or attend a Bowie school is exhibited. Artists may submit their work by June 13 to be considered for August.
During May, the gallery features the artwork of the following Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School students: Kelsey Ashton, Anjelique Barnes, Maya Hartwell, Joshua Hardy, Ian Reger, William Boram, Nadia Cooper, Ryan Knox, Meagan Lane, Katie Toth, Sydney Garner, Carmyn Hayes, Marcus Jeffries, Michaela Zabel, Paris Rowe, Evan Young, Maraya Burks, Lauryn Collins, Tyler Browne, Nicholas Zabel, Olivia Fenwick, Scott Little, Jabari Wilbon, Beverly Bennett, Ekep Nkwelle

coordinated the exhibit and assisted with hanging the artwork. A reception will be held for artists and their families May 19 at 7 p.m. Students whose artwork is exhibited will receive certificates for their participation. Family, friends, neighbors and interested community residents are invited to the reception.
The City of Bowie Arts Committee provides local artists an opportunity to display and sell their artwork in City Hall Art Galleries.
